The equestrian center sets Seabrook Island apart from most other beach communities on the east coast.
Charles Hairfield, executive director of Seabrook Island Equestrian Center says…“It’s certainly the only place in Charleston and one of the few places that offer beach riding along the east coast, so we are very fortunate that we can do that ride”
For Tunu Misra and his family from Northern Virginia, horseback riding was high on the priority list when they came down to vacation on Seabrook.
“We thought it would be something nice for us to do. The kids you know are pretty young and on the smaller side. So it’s been awhile since we’ve done something this rigorous but they were up for it, we’re up for it, so we figured we would give it a try,” said Misra.
The Seabrook Island Equestrian Center is the only amenity on the island that is open to the public. They are open Monday through Saturday and offer everything from beginner rides to private boarding and advanced lessons. For additional information contact the Equestrian Center at 843-768-7543.

Moja Festival September 29 to October 9 MOJA, a Swahili word meaning “One,” is the appropriate name for this festival celebration of harmony amongst all people in our community. The Festival highlights the many African-American and Caribbean contributions to western and world cultures. French Quarter Art Walk October 7, 5-8 pm Stroll the cobbled streets and gas lit alley ways of the French Quarter, located within the original walled city of Charleston between S.
