January is a wonderful month to be in Charleston!
The Charleston Area Convention and Visitors Bureau has partnered with discount
carrier Southwest Airlines, which (we are delighted to report!) launches service to
Charleston in March. They both support this wonderful promotion of a month long
pass that gives admission to 28 attractions in the greater Charleston area, including
plantations, museums, and discounts at 22 restaurants for $20 per person or $50 for a
family of four. According to officials, this pass has a value of $840. WOW!
This is a great opportunity to play tourist at such places as the Aiken Rhett House
– all those places you have been meaning to visit. Passes are on sale until Dec 31 at
BeATourist.net, by calling 853.8000, or at the Official Charleston Area Visitor Center at
375 Meeting St downtown, or 22 Beachwalker Drive, Kiawah Island.
Passes are valid January 1 – 31 and require a Charleston, Berkeley, or Dorchester county resident ID.
