What a find! Classic lowcountry style built like the Rock of Gibraltar. The custom 4 BR, 3.5 Bth home, with one floor living, was constructed by a builder for his parents, using the finest materials. The location and site is simply the best: a large wooded golf course lot, directly across from a beach access path! Further, the adjacent lot will never be built on, adding to your privacy. After years of enjoyment, when the builder took ownership of the house, he decided to renovate it down to the studs. From the beginning, a well reputed design team was involved every step of the way in the selection of “today’s” materials and layout of kitchen and baths. Structurally it was more than sound with the extensive use of wolmanized wood, plywood and cypress siding instead of OSB. The result: a fabulous home, cozy enough for two that can handle the entertainment of dozens. the foyer is grand and inviting with a stained glass skylight and old heart pine floors. The kitchen to the left is grand with custom cabinets, granite countertops, huge island & state of the art appliances. It is large enough for a table for eight or perhaps a keeping/sitting area where folks can keep you company as you prepare their meal. In addition to the spacious dining and sun room leading to the deck, there is a wonderful family room with fireplace and a wall of French doors that look out to the golf course. To the right of the foyer is the master bedroom, complete with a glorious bath with huge walk-in shower & twin vanities. the master closet is almost the size of a small bedroom! To arrive at the master, you pass through a separate sitting room/office with another fireplace! Unique, charming and very private. The additional bedrooms are well sized, have plenty of light and most have their own baths. Last but not least, above the attached two car garage is another bedroom, office game room or exercise room. The owner has recently completed plans for an optional full bath to be added if you choose. Inviting, solid, very close to the beach..look no further you’re home.
