Property Owners and guests celebrated in style on the Lake House lawn after a day of exhibitions and entertainment beginning at the Equestrian Center, moving to the Tennis Center, then culminating with wonderful music, food and reminiscences of people and events on Seabrook over 25 years. The Charleston Symphony Orchestra was a fabulous toe tapping, hand clapping treat. The biggest joy for this writer was seeing such a large gathering of Seabrookers enjoying the beautiful space created for our enjoyment…the Lake House lawn with Palmetto lake as a backdrop. This is a new dining venue, just off the cnr of 17 and Main Rd – in the building once known as Mia’s. Chef Jay Kees and his wife Nicole opened the restaurant about 3 months ago and if the parking lot is any indication, they have already been discovered. The space is cozy, clean and bright with fresh flowers on every table. Blue Plate Specials Tues – Fri are $9 each. The pork tacos I recommend and the BLT’s look terrific. Fresh local produce from Legare Farms, Cherry Point Seafood,Saffron Bakery and Mepkin Abby to name just a few.
