Open House at Our Bohicket Office

We had a wonderful party to celebrate the opening of the Kiawah Seabrook Office at 1887 Bohicket Marina Village on January 22, 2011.  The weather outside was brisk, but inside our little office we kept warm with a little wine and lots of great conversation.  Thanks to all who attended.  Those of you who were not able to make it, stop by the office to visit sometime!  We have a fantastic group of experienced agents who have been representing buyers and sellers on the islands for years, and our hope is that this office will be an effective tool for their continued success.

Dunes Properties opens a new office at Bohicket Marina Village

Dunes Properties is happy to announce that we have opened a new location to better serve the Kiawah, Seabrook, and Johns Island areas.  The office is located at 1887 Bohicket Marina Village, on the right between Freshfields Village and the gate of Seabrook Island.  It is conveniently located near Rosebank Café and Doin’ Charleston Gourmet Gift Shop at the entrance to Bohicket Marina.

The new office is home to The Kiawah Seabrook Group, a seasoned team of Dunes agents including Karen Hilty, Lucie Jones, Joy Millar, and Debbie Mansfield.  Each of these real estate professionals has years of experience selling and representing buyers on the islands.  They are all actively involved in the island communities, being property owners and Club members themselves.  The office will be managed by Real Estate Administrator Becky Manna who, after a recent stint at The Real Estate Studio, is happy to be back in the area she knows and loves so well.

There will be an Open House to celebrate on Saturday, January 22, 2-5pm

Charleston featured in Bon Appetit Magazine!

Charleston and the surrounding islands offer so many wonderful restaurants and such amazing, fresh cuisine we’re not surprised to get a shout out in the latest edition of Bon Appetit. In addition to a great review of places to dine in the Fall, there is also information on where to stay, and what to see and do.  Click on the pic below to download the 2 page article!

Welcome to Kiawah and Seabrook

Kiawah Island is perhaps the most spectacular and lush resort ever established on a barrier island. It’s also home to one of the southeast’s four Diamond oceanfront resorts and is 21 miles southwest of Charleston.

Kiawah Island is a private resort and preserve hosting people from around the globe while remaining home to 18 species of mammals and more than 140 species of birds. Its maritime forest is dominated by oak, palmetto, pines, hickory, sweetgum, magnolia, redbay, sassafras, wax myrtle and yaupon holly in the lower understory and sea oats along the dunes.

Seabrook Island is a private, semi-tropical 2,200-acre resort island 19 miles southwest of Charleston. The island’s maritime forest of palms, live oaks, pines and magnolias take you to the days when it was a remote barrier island.

It’s not uncommon to catch site of a white tailed deer walking gracefully beneath a moss-draped oak. Seabrook Island was developed with great care to preserve its natural surroundings and wildlife habitat. Seabrook  Island is arguably the most private of all our resort islands. The security force allows property owners, invited guests, and club members access through the gate, which is manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Seabrook is an incorporated community with an active, yet modestly sized, year-round population.
